New Addition

I had been itching to get a new dog recently & was checking out various shelters, when I came upon this little one.

Last Tuesday, I went all the way to Gardena to look at some possible pets, but it was pretty much a bust. The next morning, I was driving to work when I saw several puppies playing in the middle of the street. I pulled over, then wrangled them back to the sidewalk. I figured the barking dog with the dragging teets was the mom, so I let the pups follow her back to a few bungalows. I met the owner's little girl who told me the puppies were for sale, & here we are.

I've tentatively named her Blue & she's just 10 weeks. She's a little bit of everything, & everyone's having fun trying to figure out her family tree. The doctor says she will probably not be more than 15-20 lbs., which is perfect. Not too big, but not so small that Esther (my cat) will beat the crap out of her.

She seems very bright & the housebreaking has been going well. She's had a few accidents, but considering I wasn't watching her every second, duh on me.

Done!

Howdy. Sorry to take so long to update. I actually finished the belt a couple of weeks ago, but have been busy with some exciting things.

But let's just cut right to what this site was originally started for: the belt!

I'm also working on a belt buckle. I'm using a type of embroidery for this. I forgot to size down the images I have so far, but I hope to get up the work as it progresses soon. I've never really done embroidery, so it's going slowly, but, fortunately, the belt holds up with or without it.

And if you want to check out the other belts in the exhibit, they're all here.

By the way, I had thought these would be on display in the actual museum, but it's only going to be virtual. But, hey, you don't have to buy a ticket to enjoy them. (smile)
