Successes

It's been a pretty good week. A few mistakes, but, eh, no doosies.

The LALOP Photo Sale went really well. We raised over $3,300! Thanks to everyone who participated by selling or buying work for a good cause.

I finished my skull hat for Frank, but....it's way too big. My fellow SnBers told me to wash it in warm water & that will hopefully shrink it a bit. Crossing my fingers.

More exciting news: Anyone who's met me, knows me as the Queen of Procrastination, & I worked for those capitals, bitches. But I'm hopefully going to change that. I just created a simple Excel program to give myself points for each daily errand I perform. My goal right now is 30 points which I can earn from doing stuff like flossing to filing papers. I'm even giving myself points for blog entries (smile). Happy happy happy!

I'm trying to decide how to reward myself.....Any suggestions?

LALOP Art & Photography Sale

For those of you in the L.A. area, I wanted to let you know about a big event happening this Sunday, December 18th. My boyfriend's photo group, the Los Angeles League of Photographers, is having their 1st annual sale, with all proceeds going to a fellow LALOPer who's been in and out of the hospital after being stricken with illness, yet is not insured. He's an amazing photographer and an incredibly sweet guy.

So, if you're looking for that perfect, last-minute gift, this is your opportunity to get a great deal. Many of the photographers are selling their work for much lower than what it usually goes for. I'll also be selling a few photographs, & maybe a bracelet or two.

Here's the info:

The Brewery
Bruce Brown Studio
604 Moulton
LA CA 90031

December 18, 1-6pm

(Off of Moulton it is the first parking lot area to the left of driving into the Brewery -- actually pretty easy to find)

Oh, and check or cash is preferred.

Hope to see you there!

On With The Show

Wow. I can't believe it's been two months. I had been meaning to post earlier, but was having problems downloading the photos my boyfriend sent me from the auction. I was also having some personal problems, including almost being evicted - the owner wanted the space for her son, but realized she couldn't afford to kick me out, so I get to stay. Yay!

Although my belt received the highest bid, it still didn't get as much as I had hoped, but at least I got to check out all the belts up close & they were so cool. David even got me my favorite one for my birthday. Thank you, David!

The woman on the left was the model for my belt & she was amazing! It was her idea to tie it on the side. I loved it so much, I took one last opportunity to wear it. Copy cat!

And here we all are, the artists & our lovely models. David was tempted to see if he'd get kicked out by shoving the models into the pool while they were walking the runway. But he was just all talk. If he were only as passively aggressively wicked as me.
